This website has been developed to help you make choices about your health, from lifestyle decisions about things like smoking, drinking and exercise, through to the practical aspects of finding and using NHS services when you need them.

It draws together the knowledge and expertise of:

  • the National Library for Health,
  • NHS Direct,
  • the Information Centre for Health and Social Care,
  • the Healthcare Commission and many other organisations.

Welcome to all our Midwives, Student Midwives, Neonatal Nurses & relevant Healthcare Professionals.

As a busy registered practising midwife I recognise just how ‘run off your feet’ you are with all your professional responsibilities. However, I wanted to create a space especially for you where we could help with your information needs, assisting you to access relevant timely research and link you to other midwives UK wide and across the world through our Midwifery Forum.

Ante Natal Xtra - http://www.antenatalxtra.co.uk/

The recent constraints within the NHS mean that midwives no longer have the amount of time they would like for more information and support.  We provide a personalised service to address your particular concerns and questions.

Ante Natal Xtra has a variety of sessions;

Early days, preparation package, 2 becomes 3 and refresher session are the groups, but we can also provide one to one at home. Some pregnancies have complications, you may have twins, you may have had a complication with a previous birth the list is endless but we can be of assistance.

We wish to take the panic out of the process, provide you with information and coping skills to enable you to birth with confidence.

The Pregnancy-Info team is a group of women and parents who are devoted to this wonderful time in our lives. So devoted, that is, we have our own site!
